James A. Anderson

James Anderson is an associate attorney at Pearson Wollenweber Freedman, LLC. James is a litigator and his practice focuses on insurance recovery, construction defect, and complex homeowner association matters. James also has significant experience in personal injury and family law. James has an innate ability to connect with his clients, whether that involves a policyholder, or a board of directors for a community association. He knows how to tap into what the client’s needs are to reach a successful outcome.

James is an ardent advocate for policyholders, such as condominium associations, and thrives on helping them obtain insurance claim proceeds to repair extensive property damage. During law school, James worked full time for a public adjuster. This experience ignited James’ interest in insurance litigation, claims handling procedures and bad faith claims. While attending Sturm School of Law at the University of Denver, James first experienced his love of trial practice, winning several outstanding advocate awards with the Student Trial Lawyers Association in his first year and winning outstanding advocate at Sturm’s premier mock trial competition, the Hoffman Cup in his second year. James is an active member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, where he is very involved with CTLA’s Amicus Curiae Committee. James is also a member of the Colorado Bar Association and Denver Bar Association. James is a frequent speaker and educator at industry events, including Community Association Institute (CAI) education seminars. He brings a unique outlook to these interactive classes that builds on his pertinent background and experience.

James had lived in Colorado since a young age and has strong connections in Southern Colorado. In his free time, James enjoys gaming with friends, spending quality time with his wife and beloved pets. In line with his love of trial advocacy, James devotes time and energy to students competing in mock trial events. He coaches with D’Evelyn High School’s mock trial team and is an active volunteer for Sturm’s Trial Advocacy Department, and judges their competitions as often as he can.
